Dr. Walid Elshorbagy is a professional civil engineer and accomplished professor of water resources and environmental engineering offering more than 30 years' experience in the areas of conceptual thinking, scientific research, teaching, curriculum development, student evaluation, academic programs development, and engineering design.

Qualified with both a PhD and a Master of Science in civil engineering, he has extensive knowledge and experience in several areas of water resources and environmental engineering that permits him to implement and supervise relevant design projects, and develop and lead distinguished academic and research programs in collaboration with renowned international institutes targeted to achieve national priorities of sustainable development.

He has strong networking and connections in the Gulf region and is internationally qualified to provide the vision and leadership necessary to build a broad range of partnerships and launch major academic and industrial initiatives. He is an excellent communicator, fluent in Arabic and English, skilled in interaction with people of diverse nationalities and comfortable working in a multicultural setup.
